Real Skateboards a été fondé en 1999 par Tommy Guerrero et Jim Thiebaud à San Francisco. Cette marque a une image assez underground, c’est une marque de skate pour les skaters. Elle a longtemps sponsorisé Mark Gonzales qui l’a quittée pour fonder Krooked Skateboards.
